How do I connect to the Mendocino college wifi?

In order to connect to the Wi-Fi, you need to first connect to the 'Mendo Onboard' network. This process can be completed before you come to campus from the comfort of your own home by simply navigating to the URL listed in step 1
  1. Once you connect it should redirect you to the portal. If you do not connect to the portal then you'll need to open Chrome and navigate to http://onboard.mendocino.edu
  2. Agree to the Terms of Service
  3. Select 'Staff' or 'Student'
  4. Log in with your college credentials
    1. Microsoft OR Google
      1. Your school e-mail address
        1. IF YOU ARE USING GOOGLE YOU MAY NEED TO USE AN INCOGNITO WINDOW IF YOUR CREDENTIALS ARE SAVED OR ARE LOGGED INTO YOUR PERSONAL GMAIL ACCOUNT
      2. Your school e-mail password
  5. Name your device - This is specifically for you to know what you have connected to the college wifi.
    1. Students are allowed a MAXIMUM of 3 devices on the wifi
  6. Finalize your config
    1. Windows: you'll need to install an exe
    2. Mac: you need to install a zip package
      1. ENSURE THE PACKAGE IS RIGHT FOR THE OS VERSION
    3. Chromebook download and install and ONC file
      1. Managed chromebooks (like those of the from a school district cannot install these files and need school admin assistance)
  7. And you should be connected to the Mendocino Wi-Fi network.
    1. Please be aware that Mendo Onboard is ONLY to get you into our network. 'Mendocino' will be the connection that you use thereafter.

      1. If you are Onboarding after having been connected previously you need to remove the old profile.
        1. Profiles can be found here: Settings>General>VPN & Device Management
        2. Select the profile and then press 'Remove Profile'
    2. Android
      1. If you are Onboarding after having been connected previously you need to 'Forget' the Mendocino Network
        1. Open Settings on your device, and tap on the WiFI icon to access WiFi network options.remove-wifi-settings
        2. Tap and hold the WiFi network you want to delete, then select Forget Network from the menu that appears.remove-wifi-forget
